Until I retired in 2014 , the majority of my career had been in the Civil Service, working in a number of different departments and agencies. My career culminated in being appointed Chief Executive Officer of HM Land Registry and then Chief Executive Officer of the DVLA.

Since retirement, I have combined running my own consulting business with being Chair of Governors for the Boroughbridge High School and King James's School Federation and a Trustee of Nidderdale Plus. I enjoy travelling, golf and walking and have lived in Bewerley for 8 years.

I became a Councillor in November 2016 and represent the Council on the following committees and groups:

Finance Committee, Website, YLCA, Newsletter, LDF Lead.
